rejection

sucks.

I'm trying to find peace in the fact that yet another company turned me down. This makes unemployment round 5,612.

but

I am reading Isaiah 54 and as I watch my bunny chew on my wine rack and as I cut up vegetables for dinner,

I am believing that God keeps His promises:

"I will build you...
in righteousness you will be established.
See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans coals into flame
it is I.
And no weapon formed against you will prevail...
This is your heritage..."

  1. check out Jeremiah 31:2-6 too...it reminds me so much of what you've posted here of Isaiah 54. it talks about God's faithfulness and the way he builds us back up again and restores joy in us through the use of tambourines :)& how we'll plant again and see fruit.. it's so cool & so hopeful. love you lady!

  2. Rejection is nothing more than doors closing due to unseen breezes. Those same breezes will open doors we leave barely cracked. A Haiku to ponder:

    While rejection hurts
    Breezes open and close doors
    We only must wait

  3. I know how you feel!! I've been there many times. I can tell you that God knows what job he wants you to be in. I'm in the same spot sorta of right now too. I'm waiting on a job and now a couple more. I have been rejected or ignored on jobs many times. But I can tell you....years later you might just get that call when you need it from something you post now. I had a company get in touch w/me that I applied to 2 years ago...and now I'm waiting on the contigent offer. whom knows if it will go thru but God and I'm trying to Trust in him for the right job! But trust you are NOT ALONE!

  4. I’ve enjoyed looking over your blog. I came across it through another blog I follow, and I’m glad I did. I am now a follower of yours as well. Feel free to look over my blog and perhaps become one as well.

  5. daughter who loves literature and poetry: have you ever read the poem by John Milton, "They also serve who only stand and wait"?? Read it and then tell me what it says to you, what you make of it, and if it helps .....with the waiting.
